The emerging field of quantum electron microscopy

March 3, 2020 at 2pm
Taylor Room, NRC-NANO, Akita Prefectural University, Japan

The resolution of biological electron cryomicroscopy is manifestly limited by the standard quantum limit. Quantum technology in electron optics is thus expected to bring benefit to biology research. New ideas are being proposed by various groups around the globe to implement quantum schemes in electron optics. I will review some of these ideas, including ones we are currently working on [1-2].
