The Canadian Foundation for the Development of Microscopy (CFDM) has selected the winners of the fall 2018 travel bursary competition. CFDM is a charitable organization promoting development of microscopy and associated techniques by offering bursaries for students of Canadian universities to assist with travel expenses to participate in national and international conferences and workshops.
The CFDM travel bursaries were awarded to:
Stephanie Bessette, a Master of Engineering student in Prof. Raynald Gauvin's lab at McGill University, who will attend the "16th European Workshop on Modern Developments and Applications in Microbeam analysis" organized by the European Microbeam Analysis Society in Trondheim, Norway, in May 2019 and present her work on "Ga FIB/TOF-SIMS Analysis of Lithium Materials."
Marina Hesse, a PhD student in Prof. Khanh Huy Bui's lab at McGill University, who will attend the "High-Accuracy CLEM: Applications in room temperature and in cryo" workshop in the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg, Germany, in April 2019.
Congratulations to Stephanie and Marina!
